Petroleum products and textile goods accounted for the bulk of exchange trading

During the 36th week of 2026, the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan concluded 22 transactions with a total value of 140,311,100.00 manats and US$38,560,205.59. Throughout the week, petroleum products, textile goods, construction materials, and plant-based raw materials were in high demand on the foreign market. On the domestic market, trading focused on construction-grade petroleum bitumen, cotton products, cotton yarn, and other textile raw materials. Foreign business representatives signed contracts to purchase low-sulfur fuel oil produced by the Turkmennebit State Concern, as well as locally manufactured cotton fabric, cotton yarn, calico fabric, Portland cement, and dried unrefined licorice roots and rhizomes. Business representatives from Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Kyrgyzstan participated in the exchange trading. On the domestic market, strong demand was recorded for construction-grade petroleum bitumen produced by the Turkmennebit State Concern, as well as cotton fiber, raw silk, and cotton fabric supplied by the Turkmenpagta State Concern, together with cotton fabric and cotton yarn produced by the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan.
