Carpet production efficiency planned to increase in Turkmenistan

On June 20, during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held via a digital system, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov reviewed matters concerning the development of the national carpet industry. Nokerguly Atagulyev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, reported on the ongoing work of the «Turkmenhaly» State Association, the electronic newspaper «Turkmenistan: Golden Age» reported. The report outlined measures being taken to expand the production capacities of artistic carpet-weaving enterprises and strengthen their material and technical base. Currently, relevant efforts are underway to ensure an uninterrupted supply of dyes and chemicals to the enterprises, as well as to increase production efficiency. In this regard, a proposal aimed at further improving the sector was submitted to the Head of State for consideration. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that developing the national art of handmade carpet weaving and improving product quality are among the key priorities of state policy. Approving the prepared proposal to modernize production at the «Argach» wool-spinning factory of the «Turkmenhaly» State Association, the Head of State gave specific instructions to the Vice-Prime Minister to execute the relevant tasks.
