Petrochemicals, construction materials, and textiles: Weekly results of Commodity Exchange trades

According to the results of trades held at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan during Week 31 of 2026, large-scale transactions totaling 4,755,830 USD and 511,798,150 manats were executed across both domestic and foreign markets. Throughout the week, high demand was recorded for products from the textile, petrochemical, construction, and agricultural industries, as well as for cement and medicinal plant materials. In the domestic market, local entrepreneurs showed strong interest in products from the State Concern "Turkmennebit", primarily «TPP D 30 S» grade polypropylene. This polymer material serves as a key raw ingredient widely utilized in manufacturing high-quality packaging, sacks, construction materials, filament and cassette yarns, as well as various industrial and household plastic goods. Additionally, local businesspeople purchased cotton linter from the "Turkmenpagta" State Concern for agriculture and pharmaceuticals, dense licorice root extract, and large volumes of Portland cement for the construction sector. Foreign partners—representatives from the UAE, Türkiýe, Azerbaijan, and Kyrgyzstan—mainly purchased Turkmen textile products on the exchange, specifically cotton fabrics, raw and cotton yarns, and cotton fiber. These transactions once again reaffirmed the strong position of Turkmen textile and agricultural goods in the international market. The largest deals of the week involved construction materials and petrochemical products. The contracts concluded at the exchange significantly contributed to supplying various sectors of the national economy with an uninterrupted flow of resources and boosting foreign trade turnover.
