Silk producers of Geokdepe strive to harvest 24 Tons of cocoons

Silk producers of the Gökdepe district in Ahal velayat are demonstrating exemplary work in silkworm cultivation. In the year marking the wide celebration of the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence, rural workers aim to contribute to the country’s silk industry by harvesting 24 tons of valuable raw material. This was reported by the website «Türkmenmetbugat». According to the report, silkworms are being cultivated in the district using 657 boxes. Experienced tenant silk producers ensure proper care and feeding of the larvae in accordance with their developmental stages. They confidently state that they will successfully fulfill the assigned tasks. Special attention is given to the dedicated work of silk producers Bagtygozel Tangryberdiyeva and Ogulgozel Durdymeredova, who are carefully tending silkworms that are four years old. Each of them, having raised three boxes of silkworms in the anniversary year, is making efforts to produce around 115 kilograms of high-quality raw cocoons.
