On April 3, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Nokerguly Atagulyyev reported at a government meeting on the results of work for January–March of the current year in the supervised ministries, sectoral agencies, and the entrepreneurial sector, according to the online newspaper “Turkmenistan: Golden age.” For the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, compared to the same period last year, trade turnover grew by 108.3 percent, and production output by 101.4 percent. For the Ministry of Textile Industry, production growth reached 103.3 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. During the reporting period, the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange held 72 trading sessions, registering 7,132 contracts. The growth rate of work carried out by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for January–March 2026 amounted to 115.7 percent. During this period, 2 exhibitions and 5 conferences were held. After reviewing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of ensuring that the country’s markets and retail outlets are supplied with food and other in-demand products. In this regard, the head of state instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to take necessary measures to increase the range and volume of products produced by textile enterprises and to consistently improve the operations of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
