President of Turkmenistan opens a complex of buildings and facilities of military units in Lebap velayat

On 24 January, the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, General of the Army Serdar Berdimuhamedov, took part in the opening ceremony of a complex of new buildings and facilities of military units of the Armed Forces in the Lebap velayat. Among the facilities constructed by the individual enterprise “Aga gurluşyk” are a parade ground, a canteen, a House of Culture, barracks, a medical unit, an open sports ground, a training polygon with a reservoir, a vehicle parking area, a helipad, as well as service, utility, and social-purpose buildings. The Head of State visited the administrative building of the complex and familiarized himself with the conditions created. Servicemen briefed the President of Turkmenistan on the special equipment and facilities installed there, as well as on the modern security systems and their features. Expressing their gratitude for the conditions provided, the servicemen assured the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces that the defenders of the Fatherland would faithfully serve the Motherland in accordance with their military oath. The Head of State wished them success in their responsible service. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov then made a commemorative entry in the Book of Honored Guests. On behalf of the personnel of the Armed Forces, the Head of State was presented with a beautiful Turkmen carpet dedicated to the 2026 motto. The Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces then visited the barracks and the canteen on the complex’s territory, and familiarized himself with modern military equipment and unmanned aerial vehicles that have recently been introduced into service with the National Army. The Secretary of the State Security Council and Minister of Defense, Begench Gundogdyyev, on behalf of all servicemen, expressed gratitude to the Head of State for the opening of the complex of new buildings and facilities of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan.
