The President of Turkmenistan has signed a decree on increasing the salaries, pensions, State benefits, scholarships of students and listeners in Turkmenistan

In order to successfully address the tasks envisaged in the Presidential Programme for the socio-economic development of Turkmenistan in 2022-2028, to consistently improve the social and living conditions and social security of the population in the era of the Renaissance of a new era of a powerful state, I hereby decree: 1. From 1 January 2025, to increase by 10 per cent the monthly wages of employees of budget-funded institutions, self-financing enterprises and public associations, pensions and state benefits, scholarships for students and trainees. 2. From 1 January 2025 to establish: - the minimum amount of pensions of the participants of the Great Patriotic War in the amount of 2280 manat per month; - The minimum amount of pensions of spouses of the participants of the Great Patriotic War and home front workers in the amount of 665 manat per month; - Basic value for determining the minimum pension amount of 550 manat; - Basic value for calculation of state benefits in the amount of 520 manat. 3. Establish a minimum wage of 1410 manat for Turkmenistan and use it to regularise monthly wages. 4. From 1 January 2025, to approve the amounts of monthly official salaries of heads of state authorities, local executive authorities and local self-government bodies, military, law enforcement and judicial bodies, editorial offices of newspapers and magazines, public associations, as well as their main structural units. 5. Increase of wages should be ensured by improving the structure of institutions, enterprises and organisations, increasing the efficiency of use of production capacities and labour productivity of employees, and using unused internal reserves.
