A Forum of Women Leaders from Central Asia and the European Union to Be Held in the Capital

Turkmenistan has initiated the Forum of Women Leaders from Central Asia and the European Union, which is set to take place in the first decade of April 2025 in Ashgabat. The proposal was made by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, during a government meeting, reports TDH. According to the head of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy department, this event will mark an important step in advancing the country’s gender policy. "Turkmenistan places significant emphasis on gender policy to empower women. In this regard, cooperation with foreign countries and international organizations is actively pursued. Therefore, it is proposed to organize the Forum of Women Leaders from Central Asia and the European Union in Ashgabat in the first decade of April of the current year," said Rashid Meredov.
